TYPES OF PLANTS
The term growth habits (Growth habits) is used in horticulture to refer to the growth of a plant, its development, changes in its height and shape, and the type of growth that takes place for it.
The process of plant growth is usually influenced by many
environmental and genetic factors, where the interaction of the plant with the
different animals in its surroundings affects the way the plant adapts to its
environment, meaning that the growth habits of plants contribute to ensuring
their survival and adapt to the various environments around them, thus increasing
the chances of transferring their genes from generation to generation.
Herbaceous plants
- (Herbs) are known as small-sized, short, soft-stemmed, green-colored plants devoid of woody tissue, in addition to having few or no branches, and herbaceous plants can be easily uprooted from the soil
- It is noteworthy that the life cycle of herbal plants lasts a short period, ranging from one to two seasons, and usually herbs contain a high nutritional value because they contain vitamins, minerals necessary for a balanced health system, and the most important examples of herbs and the most famous; tomatoes, wheat, rice, bananas.
Small shrubs
small shrubs (Shrubs) are known as multi-stemmed
woody plants, usually less than 3 meters tall, and if the shrub is branched and
densely branched and more than 3 meters long it can be called a large shrub,
which is an intermediate size between small shrubs and trees more than 6 meters
high.
It is worth noting that these differences cannot always be adopted, because many plants classified as small shrubs may have suitable environmental conditions to grow and reach the size of a large shrub or small tree.
Trees
(Trees) are known as the largest species of plants, and Trees can survive for thousands of years. the Trees consist of a woody stem called the trunk. the trunk is covered with an outer layer called the bark. the direction of its growth is upward.
Climbing plants
Climbing plants (Climbers) usually cover walls, fences,
as people use them to cover some ugly views and beautify them, or to decorate
arches and arbors, and climbing plants need a small area of land to grow in
them, so they are a good choice for small gardens, examples of which: wild
jasmine, some types of roses, honeysuckle.
Creeping plants
The name of the creeping plants (Creepers) indicates the style of their growth, they crawl and stretch on the ground, and are small plants،They have very long and fragile legs, and cannot stand upright, or bear the weight of the tree and its fruits, the most important examples of which are watermelon, strawberries, pumpkin, sweet potatoes.

- The plant consists of a set of parts that vary
from one species to another, and the stages of its growth are different, but in
general, it includes the following parts:
-Leg.
-Roots.
-Flowers and fruits.
- These parts together help the plant to live in places where it is normal for plants to grow and multiply, such as the desert, for example, or very cold places such as the poles, so these parts are adapted to live in these areas automatically prepare the plant to live in them as well.
